She is me, but I am not her

She is my reflection

In the nonexistant mirror.

She is a part of me

The part I can never be.

She's a dream, an illusion

As real as I am

But intangible to human touch

I feel her with my soul

And talk to her with my mind

We are two beings entwined.

Without my mind calling her

To life, she is nothing,

Without her to do what I cannot

I am trapped inside my darkness

I want to take her hand

And pull her into our existance

But reality puts up its harsh resistance

I wish I could bring her to life

For all the world to see

My own darker shade

Of pretty.
