Satoshi

Satoshi yawned and looked upon the sleeping girl on his bed. She was kind of cute with golden brown hair and she was the first female he saw on battlegrounds.

And she was one of the strongest people he had seen fight.

'So why'd I bring her here?' he thought angrily to himself. He glanced at her weapon. Judging from the weight of both girl and weapon when he carried them here, the sword was as heavy or heavier than her.

'And she can carry it…'

He looked at her again. They had chained her to control her strength, under the order of his mother. She now had a choker with two chains attached to it, and another chain linked her wrists together. Another chain wrapped itself around her left leg, and a shackle was attached to her right thigh.

Altogether, the weight of the chains was around the same as her sword.

'What does oka-sama need with this human female, anyway? And why did she have to be in MY room?!'

He groaned and buried his head in his hands.

"Ow…" the girl murmured.

He looked at her. Blue-green eyes looked back groggily, before they snapped open. She quickly stood up (on the bed).

"First element, wind!" she chanted. He barely dodged her attack.

"What was that for?!"

"What do you want, demon?!"

"It's vampire-demon, human!"

"You think I give a damn?!"

"You should!"

"And why should I listen to YOU ?!"

"Because you don't have a choice!"

"Oh, yeah RIGHT." She snorted sarcastically, folding her arms. He sneered at her. She was… interesting.

"You don't know what those chains do, do you?"

"Do you take me for an idiot?"

"You don't know, do you?"

"Did I say I didn't?"

"If you admit that you don't know now, you're pride won't be hurt so much later on."

"It restricts my strength. And my will." She muttered in irritance.

He looked at her, amused. Her eye color was unlike any he had seen, and her attitude was something very different than he expected from a female.

"That's not all."

"Huh?"

"You're under my order now." He said triumphantly.

She looked at him as if he was crazy. She then glanced at the chains and closed her eyes. After a few seconds, her eyes snapped open.

"You… You BASTARD!"

…..

Rei started to panic. This… this vampire-demon… thingy… had her SUBDUED. He controlled her physical strength and the will she used to control elements. And since he was a vampire… he could…

'Calm down, Rei… Maybe it's just Ryo playing a prank on you and…' but her thoughts weren't comforting. Ryo didn't have the power to chain her up – no human did. But this… this was…

She was at the mercy of her captor.

"What do you want from me, then?" she said, trying to keep her voice leveled. She noted – with relief – that her hands were not shaking.

"For starters, your name." he said. She glared at him. If only looks could kill…

"That is for me to know and you to find out." She said, narrowing her eyes.

He sighed. She saw a glint of amusement in his eyes. He had red eyes that seemed to glow in the dimming room, and black-blue hair. His ears were pointed and he had sharp fangs and nails.

'And for some reason, he reminds me of Ryo…' she felt like laughing at her thought.

"Look, human, I don't know what my mother wants with you, so I can't tell you anything." He said.

She frowned at him. So it wasn't him that needed her – it was his mother.

"You can tell me your name." she pointed out.

"What's the point of telling you my name if you don't tell me yours?"

Good point.

"Reiyuku."

"Huh?"

"It's my name, dimwit!"

"Well sor-ry! How was I supposed to know it was yours when it's so weird?!"

"Well, I sincerely APOLOGIZE for having such a name, demon!"

"It's VAMPIRE-DEMON!"

"You think I give a damn?!"

"You should!"

"You're just repeating what you said earlier!"

"Well, so are you!"

"You think I care?"

"Oh, so you think I care?"

"Don't copy me!"

"Why would I want to copy the words of someone like YOU?!"

"You don't know me!"

"I know you're my ENEMY!"

"And that's suppose to prove my nature?!"

"Well, it does from this point of view!"

Rei panted heavily. She had not recovered fully, and this conversation was tiring her. Her legs buckled underneath her and made contact with the soft bed. She could feel something trickle down her shoulder and glanced at it.

Blood.

…..

Satoshi looked at the blood that dribbled down her shoulder. One of her wounds had opened up and started bleeding. He felt a sudden hunger in him, and sat next to her.

"You-!"

He placed a finger on her lips, and she froze. Slowly, he licked the blood on her shoulder. He could feel her muscles tense.

'This blood is…'

"Stop… Stop!" she shouted, pushing him away. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.

"You… aren't human, are you?" he murmured.

She refused to answer.

So… how was it? Please R&R! I don't care if you flame me as long as you tell me how to improve!
