Eternity is too long

For me to wait to see you.

In eternity, so much can happen.

Does time slow down,

Or is a minute really years?

In eternity, it wouldn't matter,

For time has no meaning.

But the faithful say

That I shall burn in hell,

For I do not believe their teachings.

If that is so, my friend,

Then we will be apart

Forever.

Can you angels really visit us in hell?

Is my suspended belief

In God

Really going to cost me

My eternal soul,

When I have done no other wrong?

If that is so, my friend,

Then I need not worry,

For if God is not righteous,

He is no God,

And we are all fools.

But eternity is too long

For me to wait

To see you again.
