A/N: I believe I was inspired to write this song after hearing Where is the love by Black Eyed Peas...either that or I wrote this poem before that song cam eout...Regardless, I wrote this song quite awhile ago...and it explains how I felt about and still feel about, society today

If ( I Wish I Could Change the World)

Growing up, secluded from the world, I have been taught different values of those my age. I almost wanna laugh when I see girls drooling over guys at the mere age of 5. Live your life, get an education. Disgust fills my mind when a vulgar word leaves their mouth. Whatever happened to respect? Children disrespect their parents. Hate for one another takes root. I wish I could change the world

The world would be better came before guys

...children respected their parents

...violence didn't exist

...people treated each as people not objects

I wish I could change the world.

Everyday some innocent person dies because of hatred. Why do people hate? Why can't people care for one another? Why does violence control our lives? Love is something we all seem to have forgotten. I wish I could change the world.

Everyday I see young girls, not much older than I, a baby sleeping soundly in their arms, tears staining their souls. Lust took hold and the conscience was uprooted and tossed away. All they wanted was the run, not the consequences. You men look for a night of pleasure, treating their prey as toys, playing with them for an hour or so, then shoving them in a toybox. I wish I could change the world.
