Without purpose on earth it stays,
Better if it was nothing on the ground
Waiting to be dust it spends its days,
Because searching for a reason seemed too profound
But the lost light shows it grace,
As a kind stranger holds it high
Let it be taken by heaven's embrace,
Just so it can feel the breeze pass it by
It's life was slow and of death's decay,
No yearn for family or lover's tie
It's mind was a hole of crumbling clay,
Without form due to men's sly
Then on it soars to the sun's chase,
Only to fall back to tell a doubting eye
"Though to dust I will turn you stand there amazed",
"For that one moment I was able to fly".
