You don't know how much

You mean to me, do you?

All those times that you've listened

And offered advice and love,

And you still don't know how much that means.

How can you think

That you can just slip away

Into the afterlife,

And I would never notice

And my heart wouldn't shatter?

True friends don't come along

Very often in our lifetimes,

But we have each other,

And I don't think you realize

That I would die for your happiness.

Yet you talk of death

As if no one would care

And it wouldn't tear apart my world

That is only just being rebuilt.

Yet I just want you to be content.

I will not try to convince you

To live a life with too much pain.

But I just need to see you

One last time

Before you make a choice that murders my heart.
