ACT 1
"Oh look guys, it's pretty boy! Hey Dai wares your skirt?" mocked a boy named Tsuki. He was always taking stabs at how feminine Daiske more preferably, Dai Koru, looked. Had Tsuki's view of him not been true, Dai would have been angry. But as it was, he did look a bit girlish. After an accident when he was younger he had been exposed to a chemical that removed body hair, luckily they had got to it before the chemical attacked his scalp. Thus was the result of a few boys' jokes, and making him seem even more girlish. He stood at about 5'5 and weighed in at about 125 pounds. His skin was oddly pale, and he had jet-black hair that reached his jaw line, it was layered and shimmered in the sun.
He had high cheekbones and a full moth, that some would call very kissable, with a strawberry red tint. His eyes, like most Japanese, were slanted and almond shaped, but there color was rare, his eyes were so green it would put any plant to shame. They were brighter and greener than jade, his lashes were dark, and neatly arched eyebrows completed his face. His body had slight curves to it, and his neck was slim and elegant, at the base his collarbones could be seen.
But Dai ad some how managed to balance the feminine side of him with masculine too. On his bottom lip, a silver hoop was settled in the middle, and his ears were pierced as many times as could fit. On his back, going strait down his spine was the kanji symbols for earth, fire, wind, and water. He wore dark eyeliner and baggy clothes, along with spiked bracelets and sometimes, dog callers. He had abbes as hard as rocks and his leg and arm mussels were finely toned. He wasn't buff, but just rite. Dais body was nether male or female. He was simply Daibut there were always people who couldn't see that. Write now Tsuki was one of them.
He leaned against the wall with his friends, all seemingly clones of their leader, to afraid to be different or think for them selves. But Daiknew how to take care of Tsuki's kind. He walked slowly over to Tsuki, his walk was a slow and seductive one that most had to practice at, it came naturally for him. He reached the boy and leaned into his slim form. A shocked Tsuki stood their mouth slightly hanging open.
"I had fun last night," he murmured in his silky smooth voice. "Call me later tonight so we can get together again. I believe you have my number." He pushed off with his pelvis, letting himself bump against Tsuki.
With that he turned and sauntered off hulling his guitar case with him, and leaving a flustered Tsuki trying to explain he didn't know what Dia was talking about.
"Of course he didn't," Daithought, "I made it up."
He walked to the park a few blocks down and found his tree. It was a daily ritual for him. Every day after school he'd go down and play, and people listened to him. Some people came daily, others every now and then. But it didn't matter, he didn't know them and they didn't know him. They never talked he only played and they'd listen. It was the perfect relationship. When he got to his spot people were all ready their. He set up the equipment, and put his school bag down. Then he let a cord sound threw the battery ran amp. He let another one rip threw the air, then he let his fingers take over and his mind disappeared into the sound of the music.
His fingers were possessed and they flew over the strings, making the music sound like a devil was playing instead of a seventeen-year-old boy. The sound was tarring threw the air and his body over powering it, yet he didn't stop. He kept going and loving every second of it. He didn't see the people listening to him or hear them. But if he had he would of heard this.
"That's the one I want."
"The boy boss? But he's merely a kid!"
(Chibi form of three men, Boss is a tall man with brown hair wearing sunglasses. Other two men are fairly tall with brown hair and hats on.)
"I know that you fool! But I want this one! We have been searching forever and he's the best! I want this one!" (Boss hits fools over the head making them fall to the ground with water falls falling down there face from the pain)
"No need to get violent boss!"
Diaplayed for the rest of the hour then packed up and went home, nothing strange, eh? Daiopened the door and slipped off his shoes.
"Big Brother are you home?" He called out.
"Yah, Dia I'm in the kitchen." Came a deep voice, which sounded so familiar.
Smiling he walked to the kitchen, fallowing the superb smell, of what ever dish Yuki Karaka was making for dinner.
He found his eighteen-year-old, child hood friend chopping tomatoes for a salad. Yuki had a ponytail of honey colored hair and the same honey brown for eyes, he was taller than most and lanky, his mussels were well built, and he had such a soothing voice you couldn't help but feel calm around him. Diaand Yuki had meet in there old apartment when Dais five and Yuki six. Yuki had taken to not only being Dais best friend but protector and older brother. Thus taking their friendship to different levels all together.
"What ever you're making smell good." Dai complimented. His stomach gave a small growl letting him know he needed food.
Yuki laughed and shook his head. "Don't worry it's almost done." He turned around to the stove and took a noodle from the pot and ate it with his red chopsticks. He grabbed anther and faced Dai, who opened his mouth and ate it.
"Holy shit Yuki! That's hot!" Quickly he grabbed a cup of tea on the table and gulped it down. Then he glared at his friend who was snickering.
"Che, such a wimp." Yuki said, turning back to the stove. "Set the table will you? I'll simmer it down."
"Did you get your passport today?" Daisked causally, but praying that Yuki would say no, and that he wasn't leaving for the states, for that goddamned college. That he was going to stay here with him, like always.
"Yes." Came the reply.
Dai felt his hart sink, and his spirit disappear, even his apatite left. For a moment he had hoped for the impossible. But he knew Yuki wanted to go, just as much as he knew that if he asked Yuki would stay. But Dai couldn't do that to him. He refused to do that to him. Even if it meant not seeing Yuki for a wile, If Yuki wanted it; Dai would have given him the world on a platter.
He felt Yuki's arms around him and he relaxed into them. Yuki always mad him happy and safe, he was always helping and encouraging him, now it was Dai
turn to do the same. Even if he didn't like the end results.
"I don't have to go you know." Yuki said.
Dai shrugged out of his grasp and said, "don't be an idiot, you worked hard to get that scholarship, and your going to use it damn it." He didn't look at his friend, but finished setting the table.
"Besides it's not like I'm never going to see you again. You'll come back for holidays and spring brake, and we'll talk over the phone." He sounded like he was convincing himself and not Yuki. It was the first time in twelve years that Yuki would be gone more than a few days. His time he was leaving for a few years, and knowing this information scared Dai.
For the first time in twelve years his "big brother would be gone, and wouldn't be coming back for a wile. He sat about making tea and felt himself shaking. He crossed his arms and found Yuki staring at him.
"What?" He asked.
"You don't want me to leave do you?"
Dia was shocked, how the hell could he think that? "No."
"Then why are you pretending it's ok?" Yuki asked. For once his eyes lost that lit up sparkle that only Dai had the power to trigger. His eyes were sad and pained. Sighing Dia shook his head and walked over to him.
"I don't want you to go Big Brother, but I no you do. So I'm letting you." Dia began to understand what Yuki was thinking, if he really didn't want him to go, Dai would be begging him to stay, and Yuki would give in with out hesitation. They both new that, wile a part of Yuki was screaming to go the other part was screaming to stay.
"It's something you want and I'm not going to make you stay here and wish you hadn't. " Dai muttered as Yuki ran a hand over Dai's hair. He sighed and tried not to think. Three days and Yuki would be gone.
"The food going to burn."
"Neh? Oh crap."
XXX
The wind blew harsh outside the window of Dai's bedroom window. He couldn't sleep. Lightning could be seen, twisting its way around the black sky like an angry snake, thunder like a screaming guitar. Quietly he got up and walked to Yuki's room, not pausing to put on a shirt to go with his black drawstring cotton pants.
He opened the door a to find Yuki sleeping soundly on his bed of sky blue sheets, his head buried in the pillow. Carefully, Dai slipped in with him, hoping not to wake him up. It seemed he had done as planned until a heavy arm was placed around him and a tired whisper said, "This is oddly familiar."
It was. Every time Dai was afraid or couldn't sleep he would run into Yuki's room. But he hadn't done that in a long time. He wondered why he did it now. He turned over and buried his face in Yuki's chest, the familiar musky scent conferring him. Yuki shifted on his back, letting Dai rest his head on his firm chest, his arm draped around the smaller boys shoulders.
"I'll only be gone for a wile. Promise."
"Liar. A week is a wile, a year is… well a year."
He head the younger boy sigh. "Remember what I used to sing to you before bed? A long time ago?"
Dai had to think about it before the memories came flooding back to him. "Yes."
"Sing it." He said.
"What? Why?"
"Because I want to hear you sing it." Yuki thought that Dai was just as good a singer as he was guitarist. But Dai thought his voice was to… soft in a way. It was ok but he couldn't compare to bands like Lucky number thirteen or sixty-nine, two of the hottest bands in all of Japan.
"Please?" He asked.
Because it was Yuki who asked, he did it. Softly his voice soft and gentle.
"Samishikute kotoba mo denai konna yoru wa

"Ne, Dai-kun, that was beautiful."
Tiredly he snuggled in with his nii-chan (brother) and said, "Ariigoto Yuki-kun, but you can do better." Then he fell asleep.
