And I conclude this tale, letting your imagination go where it will...

I can never thank you enough for your continuing support, reviews, and constructive criticism.

In time I will expand upon things I want to, fix things I see wrong, and take in all of your wonderful advice as much as it deserves.

Epilogue

It wasn't long before Edraedlach was celebrating the births of two heirs. Cairbre could only laugh as his brilliant plan crumbled around him. Oh, the irony of it! He had planned on finally convincing his sons to marry and produce heirs. He had hoped they would be happy, and they were, more so than he could have ever hoped. He had hoped they would give him heirs, male heirs. It would solve his problems… well, most of them anyway. He didn't know which of his twin sons had been born first, and their producing an heir could determine who would take his place when he died.

His laughter echoed in the Great Hall, his family and its newest arrivals gathered around him. Who would have thought that the new wives would give birth to a boy each within the same month? Oh, the irony, the irony! Cradled in each arm was an infant babe, and he couldn't help the tear that rolled down his cheek despite his laughter.

Both his sons held his shoulders, and he couldn't be happier. Nairne knew he would take over the estates, as did Tearlach. It had always been a hierarchy with them with equality as far as the eye could see.

Now that their father could see beyond birth order and all that nonsense, all could dream of their castles in the sky…

And reach them, too.
