The Head of a Rose

(Third Drunken poem – this one sucks)

Forgiveness may come easy to the heart that shows sorrow,

Expiration may come of the next morrow.

A light may appear at the end of the tunnel,

A tear may be swept from a lovers cheek,

Happiness may never be found of what you seek,

Joy may be squeezed from a lifeless hand,

Drought may spread over an occupied land,

A prisoner may grieve his innocence,

A childhood relic may decompose,

The petals may fall from the head of a rose,

Insight to reality may be a world away,

A once happy child may mournful there lay,

A tear may be shed upon what you lose,

But never the life of a loved one,

Should you have to pay.
