Regretful ashes cover long-lost bones
The buried sins of a generation
Covered by anguish and the passing of time
Deep down, smothered in gray remorse
Strangled by malicious roots, to old to loose hold
Lamenting fools could not stand up to truth
And went down with the rest of them
Down to be forgotten
Away from a sunless sky, gray eternity
The sickening scent of humanity rises from the dirt
Throughout this barren wasteland
The burial place of the wicked, of the world
A spring rain falls to no avail
The clearest water could not wash away this filth
