At last we could rest, just you and I
We could now take the time to watch the evening sky
The midnight cloak with speckled, glimmering lights
Makes such a relaxing and beautiful sight
At last we are free, just you and I
We could now take the time to feel the wind's sigh
Finally we rejoice amidst the desert dunes
Our forbidden love blessed only by the blue moon
At times I wonder what is so wrong
About a priestess and a thief singing one song,
Must two mortals be condemned by the gods forever
For simply wanting to live their lives together?
But, alas! All worries, let us set aside
Our love for each other, we now need not hide
Underneath the glory of the rising sun
I shall claim your lips and we shall be as one
