Silhouette, morning sunrise capturing your color.

You turn to look at me, but I can't see you through the shadow.

I panic, for fear of the sun enveloping you, my breath coming fast,

and eyes squinting against your surrounding light.

I fight the dark, hoping to see your blue eyes once more.

You smile, although I cannot see it.

You hold out your hand, and everything becomes clear,

hidden in my fear.

I can feel your breath upon my tears.

I've become a silhouette too.
