An angel face is smiling … again
Another man is lying. ... again
Somewhere, a sound of thunder … again
A heart is torn asunder … and then
The moon is slowly rising ... again,
A lover's lonely crying … again,
Somewhere, a child's screaming … again,
The gods of old are weeping ... for men.
And in my home I lie asleep,
And dream a dream I wish to keep
A world free of sorrow and pain,
A world with no tainted stain.
This dream is mine, to have and hold,
And to pass on when I grow old,
I know one day,
We'll find a way,
Our folly be but tales told.
Another day is rising … again
The morning light is shining … again
Somewhere, a woman's crying … again
A warrior is dying … and then
The widow he had married … again
A father now is buried … again
His child's tortured sleeping … again
The gods of old are screaming … at men.
And in my home I lie asleep,
And dream a dream I wish to keep
A world free of sorrow and pain,
A world with no tainted stain.
This dream is mine, to have and hold,
And to pass on when I grow old,
I know one day,
We'll find a way,
Our folly be but tales told.
Nothing will remain
Nothing but the pain
Are we all to blame?
Yes!...
Who will lead the way?
Will we live another day?
Is my hope all in vain?
… No
An angel face is smiling … again
A new born child is crying - again
Somewhere, the sound of laughter … again
Now, and ever after … and then
Two hearts are wound together … again
A pledge that lasts forever …again
Another life is born … again
… But the gods of old still morn … for men.
