As the tub fills,
A girl slips in,
The water is hot,
It scalds her skin.

The bubbles float up,
From the abyss,
The steam flows around her,
In a pool of mist.

Her flesh reddens,
As the water numbs her limbs,
She grabs her sponge,
Scrubs away her sins.

He whips it out,
Throws it around,
Before she knew it,
She was on the ground.

It started with kissing,
A little feeling around,
Before she could say no,
Her pants were down.

Sitting on her bed,
A bottle of pills in hand,
Then on the radio
Came her favourite band.

All her friends say she's so thin,
"Your stomach is so flat!"
A skipped meal here, an "I already ate" there,
All she saw was fat.

All she wanted was to be pretty,
To be accepted, to be hip,
But as everyone knows,
Loose lips sink ships.

Insults from her so called friends,
"You're a bimbo, a loser, a slut."
No one seemed to notice,
When her wrists, she did cut.

No one listened, no one cared,
So she put her miseries on the shelf.
They thought she wanted to help them,
Really, it was a cry for help.

She pulls her self slowly
Out of the bath,
She wanted to cry,
But all she could do was laugh.
