Words I Can't Say
by Fujita Toji
I see her standing over there,
Her eyes shining like stars
Under a pale, blue moon.
I can't help but smile and sigh.
I approach her and she smiles.
There's something I want to say,
But for the time being, I can't.
Quickly, I dismiss the thought
And let it float with the wind.
Her lips breathe melodious words,
Speaking to my heart and mind.
After a while, I look into her eyes.
She smiles, looking back at mine,
Filling my heart with extreme bliss.
But I am still not able to say.
I want to, but I can't today.
So I tell her goodbye for now
And hope it'll be better tomorrow.
