The things unspoken gather behind her eyes

A bitten lip forbids them to be let out

The consequences have been well presented before

It's not a lie if it's never mentioned, anyways

True feelings are never really received well

So hoarding your emotions sounds much more appealing

They're yours and yours alone, right?

And I know well enough this holds its own repercussions

Too much inside can be too much to handle

You turn into your own ticking time bomb

Gathering and gathering the unspoken, one after another

Your tensions getting greater

Emotions running on high

You snap

At the slightest of offenses

One can only bite the lip so hard until blood is drawn, you know

Eyes can only hold so much until it all comes spilling out

The time on my clock is gone

And so ensues a free-flowing explosion of the hidden

A show for no other to see
