Just a starting prologue the story will be a lot better and jucier hopefully. Just few notes Ellsia is pronounced like Elsie but with an ending ia like the end of Maria, I guess rather obvious. Jjion is pronounced like Jon with a slight accent on the J. Well please read on.
The Prologue
The room was dark and dusty. You could tell it had been neglected for many years. Cobwebs hung like curtains from the old wooden beams, the air was stale and still contained traces of a heavy old perfume. Lye gently pushed open the old door and entered this stuffy forgotten room. With slow nervous steps she entered the room in total awe. This was the moment she had waiting for her entire life, to discover her real history. She glanced through the darkness at her Great-Grandfathers studio. She could only make out the murky shapes of furniture. With a deep breath for courage she slowly crossed the floor and reached the window. Mustering all her strength she pushed at the great wooden shutters. She felt the rusty hinges resist before the shutters gave in and flew open. Lye had to catch herself before she threw herself out the window after them. Lye turned around and gazed at the now lit room.
The room was a large attic room the walls once white were now a murky grey. Sheets covered various articles and furniture that lay about the studio. Lye had to suppress her excitement as she gazed at her Great-Grandfathers studio. This was the studio where masterpieces had been created. She had seen many of her Great-Grandfathers paintings, beautiful colourful portraits of the Royal court. His most famous painting was one of the then Prince Jjion and his future wife before they were engaged. It showed the evident emotions between the two young lovers as they danced in the middle of a court Ball. Her Great-Grandfather was famous for his paintings that seemed the live beyond the canvas. His paintings were different from the familiar posed portraits that so many artists of his time painted. His paintings were unique.
Lye looked upon this genius's studio wondering where to start fulfilling her curiosity. Her eyes ran over the room until something caught her eye. In the corner lay a pile of canvases covered by a large sheet. Walking over quickly rising dust from the filthy floorboards Lye reached the mysterious pile. Lye coughed as her lungs inhaled hundred year old dust as she pulled away the sheet. Gasping she crouched down and stared at the painting in front of her. It was glorious, the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, A masterpiece. When she thought about it, gazing at the painting she decided maybe it was due to the subject. The painting was of a young lady. Her young slender, but curvy body was laced into an emerald green silk gown. Her long brown hair hung in large rich chestnut ringlets. Her face was pale and perfect. Her eyes, her eyes were amazing. Dark blue eyes that seemed to glitter and sparkle still, even as only a memory of the true pair. This lady was perfect, so beautiful, and so soft on the eye that Lye found she could not tear herself away from the portrait. In the portrait the lady was sitting at the base of a large tree, her head thrown back as she leant back on the rough bark. Her hands held freshly picked daisies and her chestnut curls were crowned by a simple Halo of daisies. Lye stared at this amazing mysterious woman. She was young, you could tell sixteen and seventeen at the most. This lady was aware of her beauty Lye could tell. The small smile on her plump lips, the knowing glint in her eyes, this was a lady aware of her power over men. Shaking her head Lye let herself be released from the hold of the painting. Carefully checking her hands were clean she shifted the heavy painting and lay it down next to her.
Behind the painting lay another painting containing the image of this lady. It was a large ball scene. The dance floor was filled with many figures dancing, she stood out though. She was in light lilac gown that's full skirt swirled around her as she danced. Her hair was tied up loosely with a series of silver rigs. A few curls fell down over her face that was fixed forever in a broad smile. With a jolt Lye realised who the lady was dancing with. She recognised the fit muscular body fitted in rich robes of state. She recognised the dark golden hair of the Prince. It was the Prince; Prince Jjoin from her Great-Grandfather's famous painting. Except he was younger in this painting, he was missing his famous scar that appeared on his cheek in the other painting. When she had been younger she had asked her father why her Great-Grandfather had painted on the scar. Her father had said that the Prince had been wounded protecting himself against a great state villain, that the scar showed the Prince as a strong and righteous ruler. Lye examined the painting closely wondering what events must have happened between the paintings. She carefully turned over the painting and read the note on the back.
Prince Jjion's 21st Birthday celebration
Lye placed the painting on top of the first disappointed to not learn the name of the lady. Underneath the painting lay a large flat leather bag with the words
Lady Ellsia Blanche Rosia Vederent
written in oil paint across the course leather. Emptying the bag Lye watched papers flutter to the floor. Picking and examining the various papers she realised that they were all sketches of the lady. The familiar perfect body manipulated into different positions. There were sketches of her riding a young mare, laughing as she danced, walking through fields and lying among silk and velvet. Lye picked up the leather bag and reread the title looking back at the pictures. This lady must be Lady Ellsia Blanche Rosia Vederent. Her Great-Grandfather must have been obsessed with this lady. There were so many sketches and paintings. Underneath the bag there were further paintings. Lye impatiently lifted each painting glancing over the now familiar perfect lady. She felt her cheeks burn as she saw the painting that lay at the bottom of the pile. The Lady Ellsia Blanche Rosia Vederent lay stretched out over a bed piled with silk and velvet. She fair skin glowed under the candlelight as she lay there naked apart from a strip of blue silk that lay across her hips. Lye was intrigued by this woman, why had a great-Grandfather been obsessed with her. She glanced down at the paintings that now surrounded her. She saw her Great-Grandfathers signature at the base of painting showing it was original Romanin Amarian. Lye settled herself down on the floor and started to study the paintings once again. She threw a glance back at the first painting and was shocked when she saw a small purple drawstring bag at the base, which she was sure, had not been there before. Lye felt her confidence melt as she reached for the small bag. She wrapped her rough fingers round the soft material of the bag and bought it back to her original sitting place. The bag was heavy, undoing the gold cord she tipped the bag upside down and a necklace pendant fell on her hand. She bought it up to her face and stared at the silver ring that held a sun and moon inside. Searching through the pile of pictures she found some of the lady when she was wearing the necklace. The lady looked different in someway some of the sense of innocence had faded from her beautiful face. Lye glanced back at the necklace pendant and then at the original painting. Who was this lady she thought as she closed her hand round the cold heavy pendant.
What do you think, please review. I didn't really know where to post it but there will be magic later so um yeah. Hope you enjoyed.
