the others look on with jaded envy
wistful gazes through our transparent
spherical shells, translucent: blinding
with light (so white, rainbow fringed)
at the undeniable chemistry
ionic bonds, oxygen and hydrogen
we form the remains of burnt incense
ashes and gases waltzing over blood-red walls
cautious wisps radiate from embers
embers of the past, intangible memories
dissolve in abstract solutions, aqueous & problematic
logistical secrets of salty, frightened waves
rock and wane with the tides, eroding
the wrinkled wood beneath ruptured holes
in the sky where the heavens opened to greet us
searing stratus, cumulus, hazily benign
part for her full and haloed body to settle
mars still in tow, bubbling venus following footsteps
(star-steps, pathways strewn & scattered in the night)
she brings with her the blooming ivory flowers
tinged with lavender and shaken trellises, built on a
red wagon childhood: barefoot recollections
downy bird wing feathers set against mossy green
the perpetual cycle from earth to earth
constantly shifting (absolute chaos in a state of flux)
but we: are not two arbitrary hands, colliding ideologies
we are the connection from there to here
voyagers traversing time and space
humming simultaneous heartbeat vibrations
living energy, kaleidoscopic
we resonate, we are infinite
and it is with this mind/body connection
(submerged, subliming, supreme)
that we will always know we are.
