A star is plucked from the heavens
Held tightly within a hand
This precious gift cannot be lost
Sometimes the star is taken for granted,
and it almost slips away.
But still insistant fingers hold it
unwilling to part with it so soon.
Someday the star will slip through
those very fingers witch hold it tight
or it may be knocked from the hand.
But eventually everyone's star will
begin to burn their fingers
and they will have to let it go.
