Glimmer of Hope

In the shadow of redemption,

In the darkness of the absent light,

Subsists that shiny shimmering speck,

Of whom we do delight,

Behind that shield of crowding eyes,

Of tears, of bitter spite,

There lies such trivial importance,

A flickering glow within the night.

A firm grasp upon reality,

An intertwining strength,

Holding back the pity,

Pressing on the days,

Locking their lives to life,

The glimmer of hope in the pupils of time,

That grasps our lives to life.
