Jump
I just don't get it
Why one minute I'm in the air
And you're the one lifting me
But in the next moment
I'm staring down from the top
Watching anxious faces peer up at me
And they all think they can stop me
But they just don't know
Don't know what it's like
To watch you with her
When I am the one that
Needs you most
So I am teetering on the edge
The brink of inanity
And I close my eyes
Your picture swarms into mind
With a smile that
Strikes me as so innocent
And I stumble away
No longer willing to
Jump
A/N: It's been a really long time since I've written poetry, and I just want to know what people think because I'm considering submitting something into my school's literary magazine. Please review!
