I stray from the light but tarry only
A moment, gazing there where Night rules all.
Fear, Death's chill fills me until I must flee
Back to Life, who tenderly to me calls.
My wish is naught but to joyfully live.
Among Hope and Peace who like sparrows fly,
To soar and to climb and of my self give.
And when the Dawn of Dreamer's Day does rise,
I shall welcome it and let terr'r depart.
For while I hide from the Curse of Time, this
Angst is for the ones dear to my heart.
If only I could spare them from Death's kiss.
I would, but his pow'r is not mine to use,
So I'm left loving the ones I did choose.
