I'm running, running away from something. I don't know what the hell it is. I don't know whether it's something human or something else entirely. All I know is that I'm running through the night. All around me there are buildings some old, some new, some familiar, and some very strange. They give me at least some kind of comfort in this strange place. Finally as I run deeper into this city or whatever it is I see people. I see civilization. The sound of footsteps starts to fade away; I start to slow my pace down. Later as I start to walk I hear the footsteps again. I try to lose them again by looking for a place to hide. I spot a building. It seems populated enough for whatever is chasing me not to do any crazy stuff and dark enough so it won't spot me easily. So I enter the compound. The footsteps are coming closer I put on a burst of speed as I enter the doors. 'Safe at last,' I thought. I was running to fast not to notice the man in front of me. We both fall on the floor and the wine that he was holding goes to waste as it falls on both of us.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry! I didn't see you there," I say as I apologize over and over to him as we get up. A waiter was passing by so I stopped her and asked her to bring some napkins. In a couple of minutes the napkins were brought to us and I noticed that they were made of cloth instead of paper. I had him the napkins. "Here," I said, "wipe yourself off with this. I am so sorry I didn't see you there! I am so sorry I didn't mean to do that. Is there anything I can do for you?"
"It's alright, don't worry about it. I got loads more shirts at home and I got another one here," he said when he saw the look on my face.
"Oh …" I said and turned to face him speechless. I noticed what he was wearing. "You work here?" I asked.
"Even better," he said as he grinned at me, "I own this place. Anyways why did you run in here?"
"I was running away from someone." I said. When he gave me a questioning look I explained to him everything and how I didn't know how or why I was here. Just as I finished explaining it to him three people barged through the door and into the club.
"There she is!" they yelled as they ran toward us. "Hand her over," they demanded.
'I'm doomed!' I thought. "No," he said. I looked questioningly at him.
"Are you sure?" the leader asked. He nodded to his companions and started to advance on us without waiting for a reply.
When the guy I bumped into noticed that they were starting to advance on us he put me behind him said to me, "Stand back. I don't want you getting hurt." After he said that to me he turned back to the attackers and faced them head on. It was a three against one match. For a couple of moments they just circled each other. Then all of a sudden all four of them sprang to life by an unseen signal.
They all alternated one by one trying to land punches or kicks onto the other guy. I couldn't help but join the fight. We fought with each other for about five minutes blocking and striking at the same time. When they saw that they were taking hits and we sustained little injuries they then brought out their knives. The guy in my dreams saw the knives he put a little more distance between us and the attackers.
Then he turned to me and nodded. It was a sign that I was to follow him and block or attack if the enemy was to unexpectedly strike us. He took the hand that they used to strike with and bent them in such a painful way that whoever was holding the knife couldn't help but let go of the knife. He did that trick whenever possible. And the threat of knives against us was getting less by the minute. Until finally there were no more knives left to hurt us. They then noticed that they had no weapons and didn't have a chance against us and ran away first chance that they got!
When the fighting finally stopped and the last of the attackers left I turned to him to say thanks, but noticed that he was bleeding. "God! You're bleeding!"
"And so are you," he said when he turned to me.
"Well, mine are shallow they aren't as deep as yours." Looking around I asked him, "Is there a place where we can clean you up?"
"Yeah," he said, the pain was starting to catch up to him now, "in my office."
"Show me the way," I said. He led me down one hall, into a door that led to a luxurious hall.
"This is it," he said turning to me. He tried to get the keys out of his pocket, but it was on the same side as it was with his injured arm. He grunted in pain when he bent his arm. "Can you get it for me? It's in my right pocket."
I nodded to him and got it out. When the keys were out of his pocket I shivered when I noticed that the keys were still warm 'Keep a decent thought.' I scolded myself. A few minutes later I looked at him questioningly and asked, "Which one is it?"
"It's the blue one," he said.
I took the key and stuck it into the key hole and unlocked the door…
I don't know what happened next 'cause my alarm clock woke me up. I want to know what happened next really badly. I wish that I could have slept on. If only I had that dream on the weekend. I could have slept on and find out what happens next. Oh well, I guess that I'm in for a shitty day today so I'll talk to you later.
Your friend,
Amy
"You'll never guess what I dreamed about last night!" She yelled when she saw her friends at school in the morning.
"What? You did it with a vampire?" Jessie, the girl farthest right with the whole gothic look, asked.
"No, although that would be cool. Maybe next time" Amy replied.
"If there is a next time," Chris said under his breath.
"Did you say something?" Mandy asked Chris while she poked him in the ribs.
"No," he said as he shook his head.
When Amy was about to say something else to them the bell rang. "Welcome to the new school year. See you all later," she said instead.
"Bye," they said, "see you later."
She waved by to them and walked down the hall. As she was walking she thought of the dream and whether or not it meant something. 'Amy Evans please report to the principal's office immediately.' Sounded off the intercom and interrupted her thoughts. "Shit! What did I do now?" she asked herself out loud as she walked down to the principal's office.
So… How is it? Should I continue? Well send me reviews and I'll continue. LOL just kidding! If there is any way that I can make this story better please let me know. It will be much appreciated. Well, anyways I'll see you in the next chapter.
