I've been trying to capture time,
To cup it between my palms.
As it shrugs, again and again, and I'm left, confused
Standing feet over head, I
Look backwards, and see that it's gone.
I've been trying to grasp it and keep it held fast,
From noon to midnight, dusk to dawn,
But time knows no rival, or master, and I
Am hardly a challenge to time.
I've been trying to make it mine.
