Millenia pass, I've been up here all this time
Watching over mortals down below me
And so I've come up with this rhyme
Jealous of the history I see
All this time, I've been looking
Down on Earth from here in heaven
All this time, I've been wondering
How it would feel to live like men
Down there, living under the sun
Just one day down there,
To walk, to jump, to run
And greet all the people around there
And when the day ends, I swear
I'd be satisfied with my share
I'd have lived one day down there
Down there, without wings
But with feelings and with choices
Appreciating every single thing I see
Up here, I can only wonder
How it's like to smell the roses
Knowing men as men will never know me
If I were them, I'd stop seeking immortality
And embrace all the blessings given to me
Seeking not the dull life of an immortal
But making each day on Earth magical
Down there, living under the sun
Just one day down there,
To walk, to jump, to run
And greet all the people around there
And when the day ends, I swear
I'd be satisfied with my share
I'd have lived one day down there
