"Cutting us apart"

I know you understand that guys don't last.
Your with them for a year or two and you think you know them.

Before you know it, they're out the door and your left weeping all alone.

The guys won't always be there, but your best friend is here to stay.

I'll lean an ear when you need to talk and give you a hug when you're feeling gray.

Whenever you cut at yourself, you'll be bringing me down.

You're cutting our friendship in half, but I can't make you see that.

I'd ask you to stop, but I know that won't work.

So please, can I tell you this,

whenever you cutting yourself,

Your also cutting me as well.
