You took my hand and showed me
Through the vile darkness and crippling fears
That there was a way out of this pain
I had to shed more tears
The time has been so comforting
We fell into a style
Late in the night we revealed
Things that take away smiles
How I have been so demanding
How you have been not like yourself
Slowly falling apart at the seams...
Holding on for both of our health
And even though the holding on has been hurting
It would be so much easier to let go...
Both of us were so unwilling...
We'd rather let the pain ride out slow
You proved to me how you care
As I put you through bad times
You stayed by my side no matter what
I love to call you mine
Last night, I truly believed without question or doubt
That you are the one, the only one, inside and out.
