Bloodied tears upon a fallen angel.
I came across an angel
Of fallen and forlorn,
Her dress a tattered mess
And her smile so weak and worn
I came across an angel,
once-white wings that gave her flight
now lay broken and abandoned,
silent tears shed for their plight.
I came across an angel,
Her eyes of shrouded mist,
complexion stark and deathly pale
- her frozen lips once kissed
By a demon of her darkest
dreams whence she must commit
the last ounce of her sanity
- to abuse she won't admit.
She came across this demon;
"Take my hand, I'll make you feel,
for I can take the pain away
the scarring that won't heal."
She came across this sinner,
nothing is as it seems,
all he gave were broken promises,
all he did was shatter dreams.
She's left a broken angel, crying
bloodied tears of his betrayal
for her soul so lost and shattered
and her bleeding heart's portrayal.
I came across this angel
of eternal beauty lost
To the demon of her darkest fears,
As cold as winter's frost.
I came across this angel,
her God has now deceived her
of demons in her darkest prayers;
Heaven has now disgraced her,
I came across this angel,
of fallen and forlorn,
from whence this demon scorned her,
forsaken angel ever mourn.
