When the bell rang students ran out of classrooms glad that it was finally summer. Friends chatted about summer plans, trips they were taking, and parties that were happening that night. Andrea looked around with sad eyes wanting so bad to be those she envied. But Andrea Car was a nobody, she wasn't pretty, she wasn't popular, and she no friends. She just existed not really having any fun.

The only highlight of her summer would be camp Greenway. She loved going to camp because she wasn't Andrea Car a nobody but she was Andrea Car a somebody. This summer was going to be the best because Andrea was finally a counselor after attaining camp as a camper for almost 4 years. As Andrea was leaving she bumped into Eric Parker.

"Oh my I'm so sorry." Andrea felt stupid for not looking where she was going and for running into Eric the hottest guy in the junior class.

"No it's ok, here let me help you." He replied bending down to help her pick up her things.

"Thank you." She rushed off embarrassed and thrilled that Eric spoke to her.

That night as Andrea packed for camp she replayed the scene with Eric over and over in her head each time getting more risqué than the other. As she drifted off to sleep her mind was filled with Eric.

As Andrea stepped off the bus the sun bathed her in warmth. She felt her smile growing wider as the memories came flooding back.

"Hey Andrea; ready for tomorrow?" Gary the head of the teen counselors asked as they started walking.

"I love the first day, its exciting to see all the campers meeting everybody."

"Well you're bunking with Mel in the Sunshine Cabin."

"Cool."

"Come on counselor meeting in the mess hall." He said jogging towards the mess hall. Andrea smiled following Gary taking in the surroundings. She pushed open the door to the mess hall and looked around at all the new and old faces. She spotted someone looking her way that seemed familiar but he turned away before she could put a name to the face. The meeting lasted an hour and as everybody was leaving Andrea hung back hoping to see him again. As she walked to her cabin she saw him on the tennis court. She ran down the hill excited to see who he was. He looked up at her when he caught the ball he hit.

"Hi I'm Eric Parker."

"Hi I'm Andrea Car." She almost choked out.

"Didn't I run into you yesterday?"

"Yeah sorry about that."

"No it's totally my fault."

"So why are you here? I mean shouldn't you be hanging out with the other jocks."

"Well I wanted to get away from my parents and all my other friends."

"Why you have it all, I mean you're popular and you have friends."

"So friends aren't everything."

"They are when you don't have any." She whispered not wanting Eric to hear.

"Well maybe people think that you think you're better than them."

"What are you talking about?"

"You're a sophomore in all junior classes."

"So? Just 'cause I skipped a year doesn't mean that I can't have friends."

"Well people think you're too damn smart and in class you act like the rest of us are stupid." He said the anger showing on his face.

"Fuck you." Andrea hurled the ball at him hitting him in the middle of the chest before storming off. 'God she's hot. This should be a great summer.' He thought as he rubbed his chest going after her. He didn't know why he was going after her but he kinda wanted to. He reached her as she was going to into her cabin.

He opened the door shutting it quietly behind him. She turned towards him and he saw the tears in her eyes. He didn't think he made cry with what he said.

"What are you doing here?"

"We got started out on the wrong foot, let's start over."

"Okay."

"Hi I'm Eric Parker."

"Andrea Car."

"Its nice to meet you Andrea but I should be going."

"Bye Eric."
