Driving down the highway,

coming back from a game.

"We won, we won!"

they shouted in the back seat.

"Faster, faster," they cried,

so you hit the gas.

70, 80, 90, then

100 miles per hour.

The thrill of speed racing

through your veins,

did you stop to think?

Up the exit ramp now,

passing cars with no care.

110 now the speedometer said.

You see the concrete and lose

control, skidding now

across the ramp,

across the concrete.

10, 20, 30, 40,

hitting 50 yards of skidding on

the concrete.

What'd you do next?

You flew into the air,

flipping round and round,

"Help, help!" they screamed now.

What did you think?

What did you do?

Did you say goodbye to that pretty girl?

Did you cry out for Salvation from God?

Did you feel sorrow

at ending your friends' life?

Then with flames…

Your life was gone.
