The Voice Within
It may be as cold and hard as ice,
Telling you to shut others out.
Or it could be hot and fierce,
Telling you to become angry and it will then,
Command you to shout.
It may be as breezy and carefree,
As a perfect spring day.
Or, it just may,
Be cautious and calm,
Like a sea, spraying the beach at dawn.
You see,
To me it is comfort and pleasure.
It is freedom and unity.
For we all have one of these,
I am sure you see,
A conscience,
a spirit,
a voice in your head.
I know without mine,
I would hope to be dead.
It is not only part of me,
It is me,
My personality,
My spirit,
My creativity.
Anything and everything you hope to be,
Is all in that little voice,
The one inside me.
