I dreamt of

Maple syrup longing seeping from

Every constellation of my body

Eyes wide open and pulsing

In their sockets as I witnessed

The death of a thousand souls.

….

He was angry. Blind.

Forcing the earth into the depths

Of the sun with

Tender fingertips

& grotesque explosions filtered

Through my pores

Eruptions so hideous

The stars fled to the innocence

Of mirrored worlds

Trembling. Vibrating. Shattering.

The beauty of sympathetic serenity.

….

The apologies of the moon echoed

Throughout God's toy universe

& placid emptiness yawned

As the destruction subsided.

Chaos faded into a sliver

Of desperation.
