And I Bleed

Just like you.
And I see, through that callused shell of yours.
Now if only you could understand.
That when I fall, I cry.

So while the world is busy trying
I spend all my time
Pretending to be what everyone wants to see.
Much like you do.

And I bleed every ounce of shame
Just like we all do.
This blame, this hate, this love, this
Regret-
Is ours.

And while I stand on my own,
I know,
I could never be truly alone.
Because we love indiscriminately.

(has now lost track of what poem number it is. probably 200 by now. –insert shocked face-)
