"RUN! THEY'RE COMING!" Amber was screaming as she ran with inhaler in hand towards me and Maggie. Maggie grabbed me by the arm. It was a red alert. They were coming and we had to get out of there. We had to get out of there fast. This was life or death. I reached out my arm, I stretched as far as I could and Amber ran her hardest to just touch my finger tips. I was trying to slow down the sometimes too stubborn Maggie. If we were going down I was going to lie in my grave next to my best friends whether Maggie wanted to or not. After a few minutes of heart racing panic Amber managed to grab my hand.

We were almost to the jungle gym. We were almost to safety. The boys were coming in fast. Even tubby Gabriel was gaining on us. Maggie pushed the slower Amber up the bars and then turned to me, no I would be last to go. I saluted Maggie farewell and she began to climb. I'd create a diversion while she climbed to safety. I was prepared to make sure Maggie was not even thought of in the enemies' mind I'd be such a good distraction.

As I spun around I didn't even have time to act. The boys were there and I never even saw Gabriel's expression. I never knew why he did what he did. There was no way for a kid to conceive what he did, though I had tried. Gabriel pulled down my yellow shorts leaving me standing in my underwear and in my shock. My goal was accomplished, Maggie wasn't even thought of, but I had done better than I could have dreamed of because the entire kindergarten class saw and their minds sure weren't on Maggie. The entire kindergarten class laughed while I cried. They all just pointed and laughed except for my two best friends. Maggie and Amber were there for me.

Maggie jumped down off that jungle gym and in one swift movement was on top of Gabriel, fists flying. Timid, sweet, and respectful Amber changed into a new person. Maggie wasn't the only one leaving bruises.

The funny thing is that I don't remember if Maggie or Amber got in trouble or not. I don't remember if Gabriel apologized. Those things weren't important. What was important was that I had two of the best friends a kindergartner could ask for. I may have cried when it happened but what is important is that I've smiled a whole lot after because of it. There's nothing like friendship.

AN: ok so I want 2 know what style you guys like better…the first chapter or this one? The second chapter was kind of in between. & sorry for the kind of sad part I tried to make this chapter end happier but this is what I wanted to write about this time & it is kind of sad, just the way it is. So let me know what you guys think. Criticism and new ideas or any other kind of input is welcome. If u actually want to read this more often let me know. I didn't think any1 actually cared so I haven't really written it at all. You want something from me you've got to ask. Also I've got some other stories I might post but I'm debating on.
