Silent Lullaby
Written by: FireMistress
Your body rigid as stone remained,
Your eyes open, yet looking nowhere,
Your face blank, peaceful, unaware,
Of what's happening around your surroundings.
The shimmer in your eyes was gone,
Leaving a pair of dull dark orbs behind,
And as I walked by I could have sworn,
To have heard the wind carry your song.
Never again will this world be blessed,
Upon seeing your graceful self,
Soaring high above the sky,
Bringing joy to those your lullaby touched.
Now there's nothing that we can do,
But sadly watch as you go,
And pray that the wind keeps on carrying,
Your silent lullaby.
