Slowly we built this house

Brick by brick

Each one made up of love

Representing each problem overcome

Each step of the growing bond between us two

When it was finished, you had stayed with me

No one else could harm us while we were there

Occasionally, I would leave, but always would come home before sunset

The last time I returned, you were no longer there

So I waited for you, only to find you were right outside my window all along

Sitting on a bench, hand in her's

I stood at the window and tried over and over again to get your attention

Even though we still can hear each other through the thick glass,

I cannot get through to you at all

This is still where I stand today

Almost a years time has gone by

I look out and wait for you to return inside,

And send her away

You have locked me in from the outside

The window's bullet-proof and the door, baricaded

There is only one hope for me left,

That one day you will remove those chains,

And I will let you in once again

Hopefully, this happens before another sets me free,

And takes me away from this now cursed house

Either way, this house will remain

Memories and love will not fade

For what we have built it with is indestructable

Not even the strongest of storms can tear it down

Not even your love for her

Somehow I know, that in the end we will both return

And continue to add on to what so many years have created

What we had is not lost, my love

What we had is just in your hands
