Untitled

Flooded once I was-

by an ocean of life.

Currents of love pounded-

through my veins.

Waves of joy rippled my-

iridescent surface.

The sky-

my friend.

The wind-

my song.

The sun-

my warmth.

The land-

my home.

You-

a lurking disease-

draining the currents-

seeping the waters from me-

like a snake-

like a poison.

Until-

only a crust of salt-

remains in the hollow well-

remnants of what I was.

Now-

reeking of damnation-

devastation-

destruction-

death.
