O angel! bring me to heaven!
My sufferings shall stop.
Imagine my soul stricken with fear
As we saw not heaven that you brought,
But a piece of hell as my eternal home.
Guilt, Shame, and every despicable emotion
Spread through my body,
So strong was my frightened soul's refusal
To go with you angel.
O angel forced to pull!
And every tug scarred my body,
Every stretch shrieked with pain,
Hell awaits, too late to escape.
To my surprise I awoke
My experience of death,
A torturous dream
So I stood, fell, crawled
And in prostration began repentance.
