Darkness

Shadows surround me

Yet I fall not into the abysmal night, for:

Stars

Winking lights against a stretch of darkness

Diamonds strewn upon velvet,

Moon's

Silver light washes upon me

Bathes me in nocturnal radiance, and:

Breeze

Whispers in my ear

Soft transparent fingers combing my hair, as:

Water's

Dark ripples clutch the wet sand

A lullaby tugging at my eyelids, bringing:

Tranquility

From nature's soothing elements

And sleepy serenity of the soul
