The War is On

The stars shimmered

As the white moon rose

The bare trees quivered

The wind was cold

The leaves fluttered about

Twirling with the breeze

The flowers were crushed

They were left to freeze

Dark clouds start to cover the sky

The pale moon disappeared

The bright stars vanished

The storm has a challenge

The wind became fiercer and fiercer

Braving the torrents sent by the storm

Wet and heavy the raindrops must fall

As the battle rages

The war is on
