Waterfall

Waterfall

By: Wing Chant

Readers, if you haven't noticed, I haven't submitted anything for a long time. Let's just say the situation with the friend's cancer has proven to be more wearisome than expected.

Here is a poem I wrote during an exceptionally boring day, just watching thunderous showers pour onto the streets below. It was inspirational, and finally got me in the mood for writing once more! I wanted to walk right out and let it wash over me, cleanse me of all life's difficulties. Too bad that was only my fantasy. Eventually, the rain stopped. It returned me back to my cruel reality, where everything is anything but cleansed. How nice of it...

Waterfall, Waterfall,

Why do you cry?

Quivers of agony flow through your brow.

When do you chase away ebony from the sky?

I'm alone in the beads, showering my crescent skin and bone

My sun has been revived under sheets the heavens perspire

Glide, unity, rise!

Closer towards a resolution, ending the quarrel.
