A crazy black rose
I once knew
In the corner
Of the garden grew.

Born from tears
A maiden shed
And off of shadow
Was it fed.

Grow it did
To be strong and tall
But that couldn't
Prevent its downfall

For wilting
Even the strongest do
And after winter
Plants were few.

A crazy black rose petal
Is all that's left
And of much blackness
The garden is bereft.
