We stumbled through the darkness,
Never knowing where we were going
Never knowing where we were.
Then trees pulled back like curtains,
To show a meadow sprawling
Beneath celestial awning,
Still I don't know where we were.
Laying on the grassy bedding,
We sat and sat just staring.
Staring at the beauty
of its pinpricked silken folds.
And the stars they all went shooting,
All went climbing on the mountain,
'til the sun rose with it's brilliance
To fill the valley with pure gold.
Then I looked out to the distance,
Into the sunrise breaking,
Down the hillside slowly waking,
My home I did behold
