3Free Chapter 1:
Jin picks on Flair
Flair was walking towards a lake not too far from camp. She was leaving Chase and Jin behind to take a bath. She felt dirty, and since she had been sweating all day; she needed it anyway. Placing all her stuff on the shore Flair started to strip off her armour, then her pants and shirt. The second they were on the ground there was a sudden down pour of cold water over Flair's head.
Looking around, Flair soon found the Culprit, for the prank; Jin. He was floating about a foot or so out of Flair's reach and he was laughing. When he stopped he whistled at the site below him.
"Lookin' good Flair!" he smirked, before disappearing in a cloud of black smoke.
Cursing under her breath Flair pulled out some soap, and shampoo to clean her body and her hair with. Then she grabbed something with enough buoyancy to float on the surface of the water. Taking that and the cleaning supplies with her, Flair waded out to about the middle of the lake. Setting the soap on the makeshift raft she started to clean, not even bothering to worry about Jin anymore.
Flair soaked there in the water for a couple minutes before she went to reach for some shampoo, but her hand hit nothing but water. Blinking once she looked to where the raft had been and – nothing. Her stuff was gone. She looked around and she couldn't find it anywhere.
Meanwhile Jin was hiding in the bushes not far from the lake, laughing silently to himself. Flair's cleaning supplies under one arm. He set the stuff down and disappeared into the thin air. He would then reappear under the water of the lake swimming towards Flair. Jin next positioned himself under her and in a quick movement, grabbed her ankle and pulled her under.
The second Flair felt Jin's hand around her ankle she let out a small scream and then a second later she was under the water staring at him, a smug smirk on his face while Flair's eyes flashed with fire from anger. She pushed away from him and rose back to the surface. She waited a couple moments before she realised Jin wasn't coming back up.
Looking around again, Flair spotted her stuff back where she had left her clothes. She swam over quickly, grabbing another raft and gathered her stuff up before she went back to her place. She took the chance to yell at Jin this time
"Jin, would you PLEASE let me finish?!" She groaned to the air, knowing full well that he was probably near by waiting and planning out his next move.
"As you wish," Jin answered to himself, though not loud enough for Flair to hear as he chuckled evilly.
It would take a couple minutes but Flair finally finished washing up. Her body and her hair smelled of Vanilla and Lavender – defiantly better than dirt and sweat! Now Flair was feeling confident that Jin wasn't going to cause anymore trouble so she felt it safe. So she laid back in the water and floated them soaking up the sun and letting the water relax her sore muscles. She sighed a little, and closed her eyes.
Not long after Flair closed her eyes Jin started to manipulate the water and cause it to swirl around like in a whirl pool. It slowly started to pick up speed, but unfortunately by the time Flair realized what was going on, it was too late and she was caught in the strong current, being pulled to the eye of the massing swirl.
Suddenly Flair was pulled under the water and a second later found herself in the center of the whirl pool looking up at the clear blue eyes. It was like being in the eye of a twister. A small chuckled broke through the roar of the whirl pool, then followed by a small crack of thunder as a light blot of Lighting struck Flair, causing her to shriek a little from the pain that ran through her, causing her hands and feet to become completely numb. To finish off this horrid torture – at least that was the way Flair saw it – the walls of the whirl pool started to slow and soon stop. The way Jin planned it, the walls of the swirl caved in and sent Flair flying into the air to crash down into the water below.
That was it! That was all Flair could take. She moved to the water edge and grabbed something like a towel she had brought with her. She wrapped it around her head and started to rub. Unfortunately when enough friction was created the towel exploded. Causing her hands to become numb, her ears to ring and her face to be covered in ash.
"JIN!" She screamed at her highest pitch. The answer to her scream was the gut busting laugh that Jin emitted. "Why mush you be such and ass?!"
Jin appeared a couple steps in front of her and offered another towel. Flair took the towel and rubbed her face, when she pulled it away the towel was green. She looked at Jin, and a stream of water came from out of no where and caused the entire green die to wash and drip form her face. Jin smirked again and handed Flair another towel.
Flair checked the towel completely before feeling that it was safe to use
"Heh, what?" Jin asked, as Flair glared daggers at him "C'mon, I'm ebil, but not Evil."
"But I still wouldn't put it past you to be capable of something like that!" Flair snapped in return
"Okay, okay," Jin sighed. "I promise nothings wrong with that, okay?"
"Okay…" Flair answered a little bit over a whisper.
"Good, now c'mon!" Jin smiled walking over and placing his arm over Flair's shoulders who filched, which caused him to laugh more. "Haha! I've jinxed you to think I'm gonna hurt you!"
"Well, after everything you've done, who wouldn't?!" Flair demanded to know.
Jin smiled a little and then kissed Flair's cheek. "Ya know I care about ya,"
"You've certainly a funny way of showing someone how much you care…"
Jin just laughed again, hugging Flair close. Lucky for Jin, Flair had a good tempter and knew him well enough that was as close as she was going to get as an apology and she calmed down. Though she still couldn't help giving Jin one last shove…
Unknown to them all, Chase was watching from the bushes, laughing every time a prank was pulled, debating whether to jump in or nor on the fun. Quickly breaking a branch from the bush he hid behind, he followed them, trying to hide behind the tiny shrub.
"Flair, don't look now but we're followed by a bush." Jin spoke quietly, taking notice of the situation.
"A...bush? How could a bush follow us?" she replied with slight confusion in her eyes.
"Not sure, but it is."
Chase, in desperate attempt to change scenery, poofed from behind the bush with a loud pop, startling them both as the bush fell over.
"Wow… it...popped?... like a balloon... THE FOREST IS OUT TO GET ME AGAIN!" screamed Jin frantically as he ran in circles around Flair.
"Oh for the love of...wait, what do you mean again? Haha " she spoke with slight snicker and seeing her chance to get him back, sticks her foot out tripping Jin up, with enough force for him to flip forward into a roll...right down the side of the path, through a briar patch and back into the lake with a ,"SPLOOSH!" sound. She couldn't help but laugh now, enough that she fell on her butt, even more so when Jin trudged back up with little thorns in his hair with slight scrapes on his face while wringing out his clothes.
"What was that for?!"
"For those little pranks you pulled don me and just to snap you outta the whole, 'forest is gonna get me' thing."
"Huh, what, the forest, it's after me again? NOT THE IVY, NEVER AGAI-err... never mind." he spoke nervously seeing Flair still laughing.
"Aw come on. The big strong Jin not scarred of ickle bitty forest is he?" She teased.
"I ain't scared nothing! I prove it" He shouts as he roughly crosses his arms and slowly staggers to the forest...only to trip on a vine and roll right back down the path he just made through the briars and into the lake. Another loud "SPLOOSH" is heard.
"HAHAHA, not again. Jin you're soo clumsily!" Flair shouted down after him as she jogged to him...only to get her foot caught in the same vine and follow Jin's path. A third "SPLOOSH" is heard.
"Aww man, I just took a bath." Flair shouted out.
To their left, bushes shook with laughter, frightening them a bit, that is until Chase rolled out, banging his hands on the ground, "ow man, that was sweet, you guys. I mean, you guys just made my day. AHAHAHA!" Chase laughed... well until he felt the killer intent coming from his two best friends.
"CHASE! I'm Gonna!/ BRO! You're Dead!" Flair and Jin shout out to him.
"I take this as my que to leave" and with that, he dashes off, flames burning in the dirt from the speed he ran at. Flair nod's to Jin as the both dash off after him, some how forcing the lake to part in two as they chase him down with shouts of his imminent death and torture.
"Can't you two Take a Joke?!" Chase yells out frantically as he dodges multiple dark and fire spells.
"We can, but ya still get to pay for it Chase" Flair shouted back as they chased him around the forest all night..
This is just a random Chapter. I started these because Chase is taking forever and a day - still - with the chapters. At least this way, you guys still get to read SOMETHING while we wait for the chapters. Most of this I done, but Chase added in a little more after I sent it to him. So it seems good enough - and trust me, you'll probably see alot more of Sinanigins like this later in the story.
