OH MY GOD I'M SO SORRY I TOOK FOREVER TO UPDATE! A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFF HAPPENED THAT YOU CAN'T BELIEVE! IT'LL PROBABLY TAKE JUST AS LONG TO UPDATE AGAIN...I'M ABOUT TO ENGAGE IN A BIG ART PROJECT (for myself, not school) MAYBE THE DAY AFTER THIS CHAPTER DEBUTS!
:S. Devilin:
(Oh, and to save myself from carpal tunnel, "Kamigami" is shortened to just "Kami". Besides it's cooler.)
"Darling…you sound weak... what ails you?"
"THAT COWARDLY SNAKE…TORE AT MY LEG…I HAVE TO LAY LOW…"
"Let me see you're ailments…"
"NO! STAY BACK!"
"…Do you not trust me? Or is it that you don't want me you see…what you really are?"
"…"
"My love, everyone knows you hide your true self, but has never witnessed it. Not even I seen the real you. No matter, I love you, and I will find Eisei and his comrades for you."
"Akuhei...go. Go and kill him for me."
It took Eisei and his friends twenty days to go back to the Last Haven. As you may recall, Akki seemed to have mixed up the world; one country wasn't where it should be. They were tired and slightly weak from their last battle against Gekirin, one of Akki so-called generals of Earth. At last they came to a clearing in the woods known as Eisei's Last Haven, a place where animals and plants can thrive ten-fold unlike the rest of the world outside the pinkish barrier.
Eisei semi-crash landed onto the soft lush grass. Suteki flew in front of his face in worry. Bi just stared at him.
"You must be weak from all that flying," Suteki stated, patting his head. "Rest, and then we'll continue."
"I'm not tired." Eisei mumbled. "I've just thought of something…"
"What?" Bi and Suteki asked. Eisei stayed quiet.
Silence.
More silence.
Eisei then gave them a small sigh; his soft breath formed a single pearl. Then he mumbled something else.
"What was that?" Bi inquired.
"Queen Sybille…" Eisei repeated.
"Who is Queen Sybille?" Bi asked, and Suteki was shocked. Bi gave her an embarrassed look in return. "Sorry. My mother once mentioned her before, but I can't quite remember her totally."
Suteki flew on top of Eisei large head. Eisei didn't mind, he was half-sleep as it was. "Then allow me to tell you about our queen Sybille and her significance to the world…"
"Grand Queen Sybille, the Oracle Goddess, beast of all that is holy and Mother to Us All, rules over all creatures, big and small. Tall or short. Gods and mortals. It was said when the world was young and was inhabited by only creatures, Queen Sybille lain five eggs: Two in Heaven along side of her, one on earth, and two in Hell. At that time, Queen Sybille was growing weak and weary in her early days of watching over the world, answering the prayers of animals and making sure the flora and fauna of the lands were lush and plentiful.
"The night before the mark of one decade, Sybille went up into flames, with her ashes sinking into the cloud she sat upon. They say that when she disintegrates like that, a disaster happens, if not just random bad moments. But this was different. One egg in Heaven hatched, and God was born, while one egg in Hell hatched at the same time, and Satan was born. Both God and Satan created humans, good and evil, and ruled together as they fought each other. In the morning of the First Decade, the ashes in the cloud rose with the sun, and formed a rejuvenated, more powerful queen. Queen Sybille was reborn.
"Ahh…not long after her rejuvenation, the other three eggs hatched. From the second egg in Heaven came the Heaven Kami: Hosanna the sheep, the dragon twins Bohai and Bolin, Anubis the jackal, Anaitis the deer, Chani the mouse, Eiyuu the fox, and Tahira, the lamia sister of Totan. Then came us on earth, the Earth Kami: Me, Eisei, Heisei, Kahit the crocodile, Bahati the baboon, Achak the wood golem (he assists me with protecting the flora and fauna of the world), Hildegarde the boar, and Ivonne the unicorn.
"…And we must not forget the terrible Hell Kami…no. Akki, and his wife Akuhei the black widow spider. Herufaia the nightmare, Gekirin the ogre, Erebus the satyr, Lamya the succubus, Nukpana the goat, Dracul the werewolf, and finally Shemei…also known as the lamia—Eisei—Totan…
Queen Sybille loved us all very much, and bestowed upon us the power of helping her rule the creatures and animals with her. And wouldn't you know, there was one among all of us that she truly cared for the most. Why? Well…most of us say that he wasn't…"normal" so to speak. However, many decades later, the same one she loved most of all attacked the other two Kami. When he fought our queen, he was of course no match for her. Queen Sybille's power is higher than Heaven and can never EVER die..."
"…Still, I worry about her. Does it not seem that Akki's power grew as it is? After all, how was it that Akki can mix up the world like that?"
Eisei said, "I do, too. But, when I had mentioned Mother Sybille, I was worried about myself." Suteki flew off of his head and stood on the ground next to a now sitting Bi. "When the Hell Kami attacked us and the Heaven Kami, I hid away in a sea across from Last Haven to save myself instead of helping fight them off to protect the creatures here." He lifted up his head to see a family of cranes flying above. "I am a god. I am a coward. I must never let the two combine and become my title…and this I swear to Queen Sybille."
Suteki and Bi nodded. Bi then turned her attention to Suteki. Suteki sat on the ground and brushed her hand over the grass. Flowers and clovers grew with each sweep of the palm. With this she smiled at the sky. Hoping Sybille might see.
"Lady Suteki?" Bi said,
Suteki turned to Bi. "Yes?"
"How do you know Lady Totan's real name, anyhow?"
"Oh…her sister Tahira and I were close friends. She told me one day when we were in Egypt, her favorite place on earth." Suteki cracked a smile.
"Sister? Lord Eisei…did you go out with Lady Totan's sister Tahira, too?" Bi asked. Eisei gave her a loud slightly-annoyed grunt, and turned away. Bi and Suteki couldn't help to laugh…
and a few pairs of eyes couldn't help to look, either.
