The Man That Stands Within
A man stands in the doorway
"Child, invite me in"
I hide beneath my bed
And fear his slithering sin
The man stands in my shadow
And slowly he grows behind
As the light before me brightens
Turning my eyes blind
He stands behind my eyes
Red irises he plants
Until they bloom in painful veins
"Iamnowhere," he chants
A man stands in my head
And seeps into my hand
I'm tearing at my flesh
'Til he has nowhere left to stand
