Thank you, you saved humanity

While the Christians were busy fumbling around in the dark ages, the Jews were probably getting persecuted for something again, and the Hindus and Buddhists showed no interest in Europe, you all decided to save the foundation of Western civilization, as we know it. How ironic the present day world would seem if you could see it. If only we all knew just how much you did for us. If not for the Arab world, Plato would be forgotten, and Cicero a faint memory. The Renaissance in Europe is hailed as the rebirth of knowledge. If only they knew- knowledge was never dead. It was a few steps to the East.
