Stones and Apple Bark

Through five summers gone

Each setted sun,

Through memories to trawl.

Through well earned trusts' first cautious crawl

And sprinting leap

Through rage that always failed to keep.

With unfailing love that's never found,

With regret she turns around.

Gazing to that dread deaths' day,

With the lamb reborn, life went away.

Two sharp images to see her now,

Soft and dark and sweet-

Through everything that we went through,

It's all lying, at the apples' feet.
