Why can't I be her?
Laughing in the wind as if nothing matters.
How I wish I could be as careless,
About life.

Why do I do what I do?
I try to do everything right,
Try to fit in by being like everyone else,
Wear the same clothes.

Then the truth comes to me.
I don't want to be like them,
They aren't nice and have no respect,
For the less fortunate.

Then I realize that I'm an individual,
I don't need to be like anyone else,
Who cares what they think of me anyways.
