Pain on the Inside
Written by, Patricia Giselle A. Caro
There's pain that's unexplainable
Inside the soul, it becomes unstable
Left alone in your own world
Surrounded by fear and hurt
It's a feeling that cannot described
Something that you'll try to hide
Because the pain, it comes and it goes
And through mirrors in the eyes, it shows
Your chest, saturated with sadness
Touched with a most morose madness
Trapped in a swirl of melancholy
You won't get out, you can't pull free
You try to will everything to become calm
But the agony still goes on.
One sees ones-self free and happy
And that's the way one wants to be.
With seemingly no place to turn
Fires from your eyes drip and burn
Dejected thoughts do not subside
And still, the battle rages on inside
